The Vikings wound up the year with a rec- ord of five wins and three losses. A passing 323233 lg giigfgghe ' N' attack, with quarterback Jim Valvano doing Seaford 12 McArthir 'B ' 16 the pitching, was installed this year by coach Seaford 0 Malveme f 26 Harry Curtis. This, along with outstanding Seaford 7 East ROCkgQg3f -' 0 line play, helped to account for the team's Seaford 49 Lynbrook f' 0 fine showing. The 63 season was highlighted Seaford 20 Levittown 'M ' 13 when three Viking players were picked by Seaford 20 West Hempstead k ' 7 the competing coaches to be on the all-league team. The 1963 Viking cage season was sort of a disappointment. Coach Valano expected a bet- ter showing than our nine and nine record. The season was highlighted by two victories over arc-rival Wantagh. With these victories we were able to keep in our possession the highly cherished Mace and Tomahawk. Seaford's out- standing player was Jim Val- vano. The high scoring for- ward was named to the SSAL IV all-league team.
