-fn You graduate in a momentous year which has seen the launching of the first man-made satellite into outer space. Who can predict the changes this will bring in education, in vocational opportunities, and in day-to-day' living. Already pressure mounts for schools and colleges to turn out more scientists and mathematicians. As important as this is, we are sometimes prone to forget that we need good people in other professions and all unsolved problems aren't a matter of mathematical formulae and laboratory test tubes. Despite all our scientific advances, we have somehow neglected the very important matter of how we get along with others as individuals and as nations. Through the years as you glance through this book and perchance read these words, aslt yourself if there isn't some lasting significance here. How much richer would your life have been if practical solutions could be found to the problems of our complex life so that man might follow the philosophy of peace on earth, good will toward men.
