Cfaa In September of 1954, we the class of 1958, won- dering what the future held, entered Seaford High School as green little Freshmen. We learned that our class sponsors were Miss Vincent, Mrs. Wright, Miss Berry, and Mr. Miller. When entering good old S.H.S. in 1954, we numbered one hundred and nine- teen strong, and now, in 1958, we will leave the Halls of Ivy with-brave souls, who lasted for twelve whole years! As Freshmen we lost Jere McNeilly and Nancy Adams, but we gained back, Pat Johnson. As Freshmen we were looked down upon by the upper-classmen, in addition, we were initiated, as are most Frosh. Such was our entrance into the four most important years of our school life. At our first class meeting, we elected the officers of our class. They were Mike McLaughlin, President, Judy Trimm, Vice-President, and Connie Crock- ett, Sandra Fleetwood, and Ronnie Hastings were our Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian respectively. Rep- resenting us in the Student Council were Buddy Hol- lis, Joyce Pepper, Pat Patterson, and Gene johnson. Ronnie Hastings was our representative on the Ath- asv ,Ma for? letic Council for our Freshman year. Returning to school in the autumn of 1955, we were only too eager to begin a new school year??? Our class officers were Mike McLaughlin, President, George Bell, Vice-President, Charlotte Fleetwood, Secretary, Marianna Sherman, Treasurer, and Ronnie Hastings, Historian. Our class sponsors were Miss Steele, Mrs. jones, Mr. Ellis, and Mr. O'Day. During our Sophomore year, Beverly Barkman, Charlotte Fleetwood, and Lynda Prillhart moved to different towns, yet, we gained Madelyn Meding and Tom Pauley. Our Student Council Representatives were Joyce Pepper, Budd Hollis, Gene Johnson, and Wes- ner Stack. Our Class sponsored its first dance in November, 1955. The theme was Harvest Moon Ball. To our shock, it turned out to be great fun, even though we had only a small profit. Another big event in our Sophomore year was the receiving of our class rings, and then, in June, we received what we really had been waiting for-a three months' vacation! A R 2
