This accomplished, things progressed smoothly until Albert Feather, Xliss Creed's nephew, came to stay at the farmhouse. lic be- gan to suspect foul play and with the help of Lucy, the maid, he succeeded in exposing Nliss Creed for what she was-a murderess. After this exciting eposode, Albert lelt to again try to clude the police for a bank robbery which he had committed, and Xliss Creed left to go to inform the police of what she had done. Nliss Creed's willing- ness to confess was partly motivated by the timely remarks oi Sister Theresa, a jolly old nun from the Priory down the road. First row: C. Tate. R. Hangqitt, l'. .lznm-s, Bl. FlFlRlI-Hll-Y The purpose of this club is 'fto create, maintain and extend throughout the school and community high stand- ards of Christian character. The Tri-Hi-Y this year undertook many projects. At Christmas time they collected toys and tree decora- tions to send to the Delaware Colony to help make the children's Christmas a happier one. During the winter months, several representatives from the club attended the Regional Conference at the University of Nlaryland. The girls spent a very enjoyable week-end at the Univer- sity. A few months after the Conference, several Tri-Hi-Y girls and several Hi-Y boys presented in an assembly a discussion of boy-girl relationship. The panel brought out some very good ideas. In March the Tri-Hi-Y girls gave a banquet for the State Chorus, which was held in Seaford this year. The banquet also turned out to be a great suc- cess. During basketball season the girls sponsored a Sock Hop after one of the home games. Another Saturday night they sponsored a Sock Hop to make up for the Canteen which was at that time unavailable. To help the Seaford Memorial Hospital, the Tri-Hi-Y girls worked a whole day packaging food, which had been collected during the hospital's food drive. This service was very helpful and greatly appreciated. All in all, the Tri-Hi-Y girls did a great deal to further their worthwhile purpose this year. e Had 66 99 Clubs For Girls ..... fIf'irsl row!
