Qenror Class Prophecy In 1972 a strange phenomenon was noticed by some eminent selentists It was dlseoyered that the Class of 1954- were all lwing on a new planet named Oshko h INow on this planet eyeryone worked for the only es tablrshment there the Oshkosh Nlental Institute For Real Gone Cats The bluepr1nts for this unusual 1nst1tut1on w ere drawn up by the eccentric and energetic engineer ohn Hiller Follow mg ohn s blueprints the only known woman con tractor Diane Harper bullt the magnificent structure Of eourse ohn Thomas head of the Cosmic Consolidated Roofing Company put on the roof Directing th1s 1nst1tut1on was Dr LOIS Smith r DDT LBT NLA and N B C Headlng the lNeuro Psychlatrie Ward for Schlzo phrenics in the institute was Dorothy S Smith assisted by the former Blame Trlce In charge of the Department for Demented and Decrepit 'School Teachers was Char lotte Iepper w hose able asslstart was Ieggy Hill The patients w ho gaye Nllss lepper the most headaches and what not were the former teachers at Hardserapple Um yerslty namely Carolyn Griffith 'Xlargaret 'Nlurray and leggy Wooten Heads of other yarlous psy ehopathlc thews and Barbara Rice To X ray the cramums of the eool mmates the lnstitutron employed Nlary Ann Cannon To take their blood counts Peggy Funk a medmcal techno logxst complete with all slzes and shapes of needles w as hired Howcyer in spite of all their efforts sometimes a patient died and w as buried by erome Crazy Sam Hick man in one of Warren Timmons coffins which w as finally lowered into one of Ronnie Leggs concrete yaults But on the more cheerful Slde of things the lnstxtutlon em ployed Lyna Anderson who directed the Recreational Department which prouded exercrse for the phys1cally fit but mentally handicapped inmates Those who took HCIINC part in the recreational program lncluded Dave Bruiser Bloodsworth Harold Hinge Hips Grosh and Alan Shorty Wheatley Coachmg this All Star Team for the Inmates w as Cecil Feet Tate who was asslsted by Bob Burris water boy who often posed a problem w hen he tried to take the football s place For other entertamment the institute created the Dizzy Daffy Tay ern under the drrection of eanette Hall Ierformers in th1s tayern included Charlotte Adams dancer Peggy ames electric guitar player Eddie Ide lullaby crooner and Robert Taylor hillbilly yodeler For other inmates who were confined to their rooms the mstltution had jerry Smith to rnstall prnate atomic TV sets To turn off the sets at bedtime the rnstltutron employed Edward Butler who also helped the inmates reclte their prayers and put on their BVD pajamas whleh were designed by qylyla Hastings and made by seamstress Qatherlne Brlt tlngham Accompanying Reverend Butler on his nightly chores was Leona Beard who collected all the comic books and horror magazines in her little push cart T keep the lady 1I1m2itCS looking tr1m and lovely Patsy LeGates and her assistant Norma can Wright were em ployed as beautrcians To do the same for the gentlemen of the rnstltute George Fleetwood and Kenny Coulbourn were employed Bupplymg the food for the rnstltution were several former S H S students In the yegetable producmg department were Ayery Ellis and Edward Trurtt rn the moo juice department was Hames Tull who bought the feed for moo cows from the Glen Mears Gram Company To prepare th1s food 1n an ap petlzmg manner Helen IXIumford and Albert Willoughby were hired as chlef cooks and bottle washers The garbage disposal unit w as under the capable direction of Tommy lhllhps In a speclal CIIXISIOI1 of the institution for literary artists were Sandy Blackwell w ho w as compiling lnforma mates connection wlth his postgraduate work at Nliddleford UD1NCTS1Iy and Day 1d Peigh who was writing a masterpiece entitled The Perfect Al1b1es To carry on IIS numerous business transactions the lnStltL1tC em ployed a large clerrcal staff including as secretaries Ann Ihillips Lorraine INIorr1son Iralene Tull and ean Wind sor In their spare time these stenographers took danclng lessons from the dancing rnma e ake Twlnkle Frredel w ho was ably asslsted by can Haynes When not takmg dancing lessons the grrls took skatmg lessons from Patsy Gr1ft'ith and udy Mateyka In her own private cell oyce Hallman always sat knlttlng sweaters and argyle socks for Warden Richard Hargltt w ho had dey eloped a secret weapon to protect Que Booth from Marguerlte Houtman who had wanted to try out her new atomic medicine with Que as the guinea pig Assisting Irofessor Houtman was Perce Ness the world renowned phar macrst from Hardscrapple Then last but not least the 1nst1tute had Nancy O Lankford an FBI agent and Linda Hutchinson a Jet stewardess helping Mr Warren Keller and Mr Raymond Koehler two ancient watch dogs look for hir E Moynrhan who had somehow managed to escape from the Oshkosh Nfental Instltute For Real Gone Cats Forty four o o .
