PAM HUKE The Senior Band, directed by Mr. Ryder, is one of our most active scholastic organizations. It not only performs at school, but also represents us in local and out-of-town parades and concerts. The band plays at the Mineola Fair and gives a concert at Jones' Beach.

Ensem- ble work such as this improves individual ability and helps Mr. Ryder's orchestra. The repertoire of the orchestra is be- coming increasingly more difficult, this year the strains of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony are often heard. On the lighter side, you might have occasion to hear the Dance Band per- forming some of their cool and syncopated iazz.
