7 TAP Annum History of Class of 1921 We live in deeds, not years: in thoughts, not breaths: ln feelings, not in iignres on a denlff History, :lays Wehster, is that art that explains past events as steps in human progressf' The Junior c-lass has made progress and hope it has faeilitated progressg in view of whieh fart we plaee our history on reeord, not for the quantity of events in question hut rather for their quality. We are not ostentatious in our sphere, hut just one of the old standhys that tends to make a high sehool what it is. Hur elass enrollment has dangerously tiuetuated during the past few years hut we hope that those of us who have stuek through thiek and thin, and have seen the eventual benefit, will summon up enough eourage to make the last eounter attaek against the faeulty. Our l+'reshman and Sophomore en- rollment was thirty-six at the beginning of the year, and those who did enroll were very mueh disappointed to find that liela liarge, Katherine lieedy, Edith llemminger, Viola Meliay, lllauriee Furlong, Everett Marion and David Bet- ka, Jr., failed to respond to the eall. We were partially reeoneiled hy the ad- dition oi' four new students, Doris Timmerman, ltlvelyu Gaffney, l'leone lies- ter and Jessie lllc-Arthur. During the year our student hody was again seriously redueed, Josephine Myles, Raymond Dodge, 'Faleott Reader, Gerald Peterson and Lowell Teeter leaving for various reasons. We eleeted this year as ot'l'ieers: President, Muriel Siegel: Seeretary and 'I'reasurer, Jessie MeArthurg Representative to Student-Teachers Couneil, Jessie MeArthur. 'l'he ehiet' soeial funetion was the entertainment of the Sophomores hy the Juniors to a delightful sehool party. In summarizing, we hope we will not he eensured too severely for our faults, hut rather hope others will remezziher our sineere effortsg our eollateral judgment of dignity, our retieent attitude as a unit, and therefore, our lnnrstentatious attitude toward our aehievements.
