9 TAP Mauna History of Class of i920 ND we, too, like all the other graduating elasses, started our l reshman year by wondering where the eolleetion of moss eovered antiques eame t'rom and wondering if they would look the same on graduation night. Our elass otfieers were duly elected, with Robert Uoolman for president and Joyee Kobe for secretary and treasurer. Joyee was also our representa- tive at the Junior-Senior banquet. Not being able to see the advantages of a high sehool edueation some of the members left, never to return, so missed the one great exciting event of the year-the sending of a bouquet to one of our siek members. Hut we must not overlook the one party we had at the river. And Allan Ogilvie fell in. At the beginning ot' our Sophomore year we numbered twenty-tive. Those who did not find their way baek were missed, but we soon beeame accustomed to seeing new friends in their plaees. The elass otfieers eleeted were: presi- dent, Robert Uoolmang secretary and treasurer, llazel Harterg Thelma Stephens was ehosen as representative at the annual banquet. Our matron was Miss Uoburn. Wishing to start the soeial festivities of the year with something new and distinetly novel we entertained the l reshmen with a marshmallow roast down at the ol' swimming hole. Being highly elated by our ingenuity and sue- eess aehieved we followed it up with several others as fast as the erowd eould be moved to and from the river. As a eompanion for Miss t'oburn, we invited Mr. Yoelker to attend these wild affairs. Some of our reekless members whose ideas of lligh Sehool life were not all studying were sent home one evening by a lenient sheriff while others wore oft' their surplus energy by sealing the water tanks. When the sehool bell ealled us baek for our Junior year the following members were absent, Gertrude Moore, Myrtle Sterley, Ulement Cole and Allan Ugilvie. llefore long we were well acquainted with our new members whieh ineluded ttlen Souders, Veva Dunbar, lioyal liagley, Russel lloefsted- ter, John Dellotf, Aliee Anderson and Myrna Shaw. We held our annual eleetion of offieers and when the raeket was over we found that Thelma Stephens had been eleeted president, George liong, viee president: and liily Resseguie was secretary and treasurer.
