Classes and Activities At Scotts Valley School Gene Lafferty, Vine Hill school principal, had good cause to be happy as he squinted into this vision testing machine. The machine is a gift from the East Santa Cruz Lions Club to the Scotts Valley school district, and the third donated by the Lions in their sight conservation campaign. Funds were raised in the White Cane campaign this fall. From left are Hal Donnellain and Iack Phillips of the Lions' sight conservation committee, Edwin Swanson, superintendent of Scotts Valley Elementary school district, Lafferty and Phillips Patton, president of the Scotts Valley school board.
