Foreword The faces of Scotts Hill School are many and varied, but they reflect you, the student body. The year has contained memories of moments of victory and defeat. Together we have participated and involved ourselves in the activities of our school. Through much effort we have achieved that for which we strived hardest. As followers, we have at¬ tained many goals and had many examples set before us thr ough the inspiration of our leaders. This school has meant something different to each individual and it is our wish to have captured in the following pages some¬ thing of the Scotts Hill School that each stu¬ dent knows, loves, and will remember. mm

Dedication In recognition of your outstanding work with us, we, the Senior Class of 1972, would like to dedicate this edition of THE LION to Mr. Charles Woody, Miss Myrna Furr, and Mrs. Margaret Dyer. This is our way of expressing our deep appreciation for the many things that each of you do. In addition to lighting the lamp of learning, you have guided us in many other ways. To you, Mr. Charles Dock Woody, you have been an inspiration in many ways. You have not only told us what to do and how to do it, but you have been an example and shown us. Our problems can seem so big to us, but after we talk with you there is always a solution. Your day has never been too long or hard for you to make a ball trip with us. Wherever a group of students have been, if you weren ' t with them, you were waiting at school when we got back. You have always been a person we could count on. We ap¬ preciate your cooperation and help in our yearbook. There are no words that we could use that describe what an outstanding principal you are. To you, Miss Myrna Furr, we would like to show our appreciation for the many hours of work you do to help us. You so capably guide die girls in Home Economics to help them prepare for a better life. Your outstanding way of doing things is always an example to us. The Prom is a display of your hard work. You never tire in our fund-raising projects. When die way gets rough, we can always talk with you and it seems much easier. You have always shown an interest in us and the school. To you, Mrs. Margaret Dyer, we would like to show our appreciation for the interest and concern you have shown us throughout die years. Whenever we needed help, you were always there to give it to us. You have always forfeited class time for our outside activities. You have always encouraged us to do the things that are right and the things that you know will be beneficial to us. Your work with the yearbook shows the hard and earnest work which you put forth. Your loving kindness and friendship will always be fondly remem¬ bered in the minds of each of us as we look back on our days at S.H.H. S.
