THE CLASS OF ' 69 PRESENTS 1 H i Hr J ' r£ L% 1 r An Foreword “These are the happiest days of your life.” How often we high school students hear these words. We cannot deny that these words do hold some truth. We are young and can share the problems of growing up. We are learning to acoept responsibility, but we know we are always able to ask for guidance and assistance from our elders. We are also at an age when opportunity is very great. We are receiving a varied educa¬ tion which will always be invaluable to us. It is very fitting that these happy days should be preserved in “The Lion.” The words and pictures have a special meaning for each of us for we are all a part of them. The pleasant memories shared by students of Scotts Hill School are found in these pages. The worth of “The Lion” will grow with each passing year. Table of Contents Title Page Foreword Dedication Principal s Message Faculty School Board of Education Yearbook Staff Seniors Juniors Sophomores Freshmen Junior High Elementary Favorites Athletics Organizations Activities Advertisers Dedication I ' m sure you all know someone who stands out in your memory as a hard worker. The one who is always doing his own work and willing to help someone else. The one who never complains about hard work, who toils and slaves and actually enjoys it. The one who prepares for us an ideal situation for study. The one who is always ready to help us find material and information when it is needed. We all feel, I am sure, that these people should have some recognition for their unending service. It is for this reason that we, the Senior Class of Scotts Hill, dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Charles Woody for his perpetual loyalty, friendliness, and help to everyone around him. Principal’s Message May I congratulate each one of you on the effort you have made to make this a successful year. I sincerely hope that I have contributed to the set of values that you have chosen to help in making your deci¬ sions, and have donated instruments that will help you overcome obstacles. When graduation has come and all of you have gone, we at Scotts Hill School will remain to give any help that we can. Faculty MR. J. WAYNE STANFILL Principal B.S. Bethel College M. A.
