Because you desire for us the higher and finer things of life; Because you deny yourself so that we may have that which you did not have; Because you understand when all our world goes wrong; And, because we know if your wishes could come true, we would each live a full and happy life. FACULTY , , , .. MR. R. F. RAINES, Principal, and JANICE PHILLIPS, Secretary ' ' U, pThi has truly been one of the best, if not the best year in the history of w .our scho , • As each year passes, we can see a growing respect for our Alma Mater and for all the people who are striving to make of her the best. The student body is growing more concerned, and each pupil is becoming convinced that he or she is an important part in the system. When each and everyone of us can see that what we do either good or bad has a direct effect upon all others, then and only then are we on our way in having the kind of school in which all of us can be justly proud. I, Sherry Dennison , am employed by the Campbell Campbell Dill Co. , located in Savannah, Georgia. The company is owned by Bobby and Gle n Campbell . While traveling across the U. S. selling dill pickles, I stopped at Woody Woodpecker ' s Service Station in Oxford, Mississippi. To my surprise a classmate of mine, Lewis Pike, owned the service station. Lewis told me that Joe Rushing is now a Professor at Ole Miss. I stopped for lunch at Monty ' s Cafe. Eva Sue Kelley and he r husband are the proud owners of this cafe. When I came into Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I heard Bobby Grissom campaigning for the Presidency on the court square. Bobby and Rebecca McK enzie are now married and have six healthy boys. In the late evening I pulled in at McScrooge ' s Hotel. The bellboy was .Doyle Yates Gayle Kelley is manager of the hotel. The next day I stopped in Little Rock, Arkansas, to get my hair set. Diane Rogers and Nancy Rimmer are two of the hairdressers. They tell me that Dwayne Wvatt is now singing bass for the James Family quartet. In Mis- souri, I ran into Betty Hodge who is a private secretary to Don Creasy who owns a large toothbrush factory. Betty tells me she keeps in touch with Nell Rogers, and that Nell is now a receptionist for a psychiatrist in St. Louis, Missouri. She also tells me that Gale Swift is a basketball and football coach at Macdud University. When I came into Kentucky, I learned that R onald P owe rs was a horse racer in the Kentucky Derby. While talking to Ronald he told me that Neal Mitch ell owns a tobacco farm in Frankfort. Jerry Martin helps Neal run the farm.. I read on a sign that Diane White will be appear- ing in person with Millard Prittchard’s Band at the Opera House on twenty-first street. As I was coming across the Tennessee State Line I heard a terrific explosion. I learned later that Lawrence Powe rs was experimenting at Oak Ridge, but it so happened that he used the wrong ingredients. While in Virginia, I decided to visit Carol Brazze l. who is a private nurse for Caroline Kennedy and John Jr. Carol tells me Danny John son has won the championship limbo contest sponsored by Lawrence Welk ' s Dance Party. Elaine O ' Neal won second place in the contest. While on the plane to Austin, Texas, I find Mary-AliceuAustia as the stewardess. Mary tells me Kav Sparks, one of our for- mer classmates is modeling in one of the prominent fashion houses in Paris, France. Mary also tells me that Larry Couch is now a famous bull fighter in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. As I continue my journey to New Mexico, I hear Tennet Powers and her hus- band are searching for gold in the Carlsbad Caverns. I wish them luck. While in Arizona, I learned that Patty Rickman and her husband are now living on Venus. By mistake they got on Mariner II instead of a jet to Nevada. They seem to be quite happy there and plan to stay. I find that Margie Powers is now a cosmetologist at Reno. While in Hollywood, California, I find that Peggy Stanfill i s now a famous actress. While visiting with Peggy, she tells me she is to star with Elvis in a new movie. Peggy also tells me that Sandra Warren is a hula dancer in Hawaii.
