While visiting Washington, D. C., I called up Dennis Todd, Commissioner of Agriculture. Who should answer the phone but Brenda Maners. Dennis told me that his staff consisted of some old friends; Bobby Duck, Robert White, Harold Middleton, and his business manager, Kenneth Eason. I also ran into Ted Anglin and his coon hounds who are with the Federal Bureau of Investiga¬ tion there. From Washington I boarded a plane for Hollywood to see Doris Clark, famed hair stylist to Connie Stevens. The stewardess that greeted me was none other than Dorothy Swafford. While in Hollywood, I attended the opening premier of Lady Macbeth, starring Jettie Tucker. It is rumored that she has been seen with Junior Bingham, who is now with Glamour Incorporated. Before leaving California, I drove out to the Kingston Ranch where I talked with Kaye Brown, their new bronco buster. My next stop was Florida where I visited in the home of Janette and Jerry Tillman and their two daughters. They told me that Carolyn Clark was teach¬ ing Home Ec. in a nearby school. While talking to Billie Faye Powers, head secretary at Cape Canaveral, we heard a terrific noise. She told me it was Karen Dennison blasting off for the moon. Before leaving Florida, I just had to attend the fights where Floyd Kid McKenzie was fighting for the heavy weight championship. Continuing my tour, my next stop was New York City, where I visited the studio of artist, Sandra Thompson. While in the city I took a stroll to the famous Peppermint Lounge, owned and operated by Melba Johnson and her husband. Here, Jimmy Goff and Jimmy Tucker were taking twist lessons. Their instructor was none other than Erna Wulfert. Jimmy said he recently received a letter from Teddy Powers, who is a missionary in the Congo. Traveling through the state of Illinois, I ran into Dr. Bobby Jones. He was telling of the great discoveries his laboratory technician, Gayle Robbins, has made. There was a stopover in Chicago, and I went to the information desk to inquire about the departure time. I found the receptionist to be Janice White. While touring the southern states, I stopped in Georgia to see Carolyn Mooney, who is teaching Physical Ed. at Georgia Lane High. As I traveled homeward, I stopped to see Brenda Kennedy in Memphis. She is doing the interior decoration for Elvis Presley ' s home. Mr. and Mrs. David Nelson are wanting her when she finishes there. 7VM I, Brenda Maners, do not leave anything, I ' m just thankful I got out. I, Melba Johnson, will my place as Business Manager on the 1962 Annual Staff to the most unsuccessful on the 1963 Annual Staff. I, Teddy Powers, will my ability to live and let live to Gale Swift. I, Bobby Duck, will my ability to read library books during class, to Glenn Campbell. I, Sandra Thompson, will my hidden mischief to Peggy Stanfill, who needs some of hers’ hidden. I, Brenda Kennedy, will my ability not to cut up in class to Eva Sue Kelley. I, Dennis Todd, leave my desk in the English room to Polly Parrot. I, Junior Bingham, leave my nothing to everybody in memory of nobody. I, Carolyn Clark, wish I had something to leave, but circumstances as they are, I need all I have and more too. I, Doris Clark, will my ability to sit and think, but mostly just sit to Rebecca McKenzie. I, Jerry Tillman, leave my ability to sit in the study hall at lunch and talk to his girl to Don Creasy. I, Harold Middleton, will my ability to skip the thirty minute period and study hall to anyone who can get by with it as well as I have. I, Janette Galbraith, leave my title as cutest to anyone who can fulfill the dictionary meaning. I, Dorothy Swafford, will my quiet and nice ways to Sherry Dennison. I, Jimmy Goff, will my ability to sit in the best office chair to Joe Lee Rushing. I, Bobby Jones, will my ability to skip school to Danny Johnson. I, Janice White, will my ability to sew to Margie Powers. I, Gayle Robins, will my cheerleading uniform to anyone small enough to wear it and with a big enough mouth. I, Floyd Mckenzie, will my ability to tell Funnies to the girls to Bobby Grissom. I, Jimmy Tucker, will my ability to stay down at Mr. Boswell’s room the last period to any¬ one who wants it. I, Billie Powers, will my ability to yell, Who, me? in Home Economics class to Diane White. I, Erna Wulfert, will my ability to twist and sling my ponytail to Nell Rogers. I, Ted Anglin, leave my ability to work the Agriculture problems to Bobby Campbell. I, Robert White, will my ability to skip school in the spring to go fishing to everyone. I, Karen Dennison leave my ability to love ’em and leave ' em to Sherry Dennison, Diane White, and Sandra Warren. (As if they needed it). I, Carolyn Mooney, leave my ability to tell fibs to Gail Kelley, who doesn’t need it. I, Jettie Tucker, leave my ability to get along with Miss Smith to Shirley Powers. I, Kay Brown, will my ability to Charleston in basketball practice without getting caught to Sandra Warren who always gets caught. I, Kenneth Eason, will my ability to listen to the radio in Agriculture to Neal Mitchell. s4 utuaC SEATED, L to R: Janette Galbraith, Co-Editor; Gayle Robins, Editor; Billie Powers, Typist.
