Class Histories — Senior and junior Four years ago on a sunny July day we entered S. H. H. S., jtsjjeshmen, we with an enrollment of jerty ' iev h. We elected Don Martin as President of our class, Martha Jo White, Treasurer; Francis Galbraith, Secretary; Tommie Man- grum. Vice President. During our Sophomore year, we had a wonderful time. We had learned the ways of high school. The girls served at the Junior-Senior Banquet which was an interesting event. Our class officers were: Don Martin, President; Marvin Kennedy, Vice President and Juanita Wilkins, Secretary. In our Junior Year, with Mrs. Helms as our sponsor we entertained the seniors with a formal banquet with the theme of An Old Southern Plantation. Our class officers were: Marvin Kennedy, President; Don Martin, Vice President; Juanita Wilkins, Secretary; Jean Hodge, Treasurer and Martha Jo White, Report¬ er. In our last year in hi gh school we elected the sftffl -effiqers that we had in our Junior year. Our number has decreased to twenty-eight now? Some have moved away, othersliaVe gone into the Armed ForcSsr stfif others haV£ jnapied, and some haye-quit. Some of our class members have had the highest honors on the basketball team. We have enjoyed our four years of associating with fellow students and teachers. We, the Junior Class of 1955-56, entered high school in the summer of 1953 with an enrollment of forty-six pupils. Since then our class has decreased to only twenty-eight. Some married, some moved away, others decided to help Uncle Sam, and others just couldrYtjake.it. Our class has several members on the bas¬ ketball team. We are looking forward to next year as we will be top man on the totem pole. Our class officers are: Sammy Maners, President; Bobby Duck Vice President; Judy Johnson, Secretary; Paul Maners. Treasurer; Shirley Dyer, Reporter; Billy Martin, Sergeant-at-Arms.
