While I, BOBBY DYER, was on my campaign tour for President of the United States, much to my surprise I found support from MARVIN KENNEDY, the Governor of New York. With a few encouraging words from Senator EARLEEN PRATT and Representative JIMMY GOFF, I felt that I was well on my way to being elected. After this I felt that my work in New York was well taken care of, so I bought tickets for Hollywood, at the Bivens ' Airport, owned by J. VAUGHN BIVENS. Vaughn informed me that he had been very fortunate in the business world, and now had 125 planes flying to all parts of the world. His chief pilot, DON MARTIN, was in Africa awaiting wild animal trainer, JIMMY HELMS, to bring in a shipment of hippopotamus to bring to the New York Zoo, which is operated by J. N. MOORE. I started to board my plane and met JUANITA WILKINS, a stewardess on the plane. After talking to her, I was on my way to Hollywood to meet my Vice Presidential candidate, JAMES HART, who was formerly Warden of Alcatraz prison, but this position is now held by THOMAS RIMMER, who really likes his work. While talking to James, he suggested that we have dinner at the Fuzzell Steak House, which was owned by LEONA AND WYOMA FUZZELL. After dinner I made a speech over CBS Radio Network, which was operated by PAULINE MO NTGOMERY. After my speech, I enjoyed the singing of JEAN HODGE, who now has her own program. Her sponsor is the Taystee Dog Biscuit Co., which is managed by EUGENE ETHERIDGE. I visited the University of California where WILMA POWERS is now teaching History. The Dean of the University is JOE WHITE. Joe told me he had hired a new music teacher, JOYCE HELMS, who was pianist on the JOHN S. POWERS SHOW (formerly the Arthur Godfrey show.) While traveling back through Las Vegas, Nevada, I ran into my old friend. Marshal JOHNNY TILLMAN, who has cleaned up the underworld from Las Vegas to Reno. Going on through Texas I visited General GERALD JOHNSON and TOMMIE LOU, who are now making their home in San Antonio where he is in charge of the Lockland Air Force Base. While in Texas I visited a large cattle ranch, owned by MARGARET DENNISON and her husband Joe. Before I finished my visit a cattle buyer from a Chicago packing co., came to look over some cattle. To my surprise it was my old classmate HAROLD ROGERS. Before boarding a train for St. Louis, I bought a novel to read while traveling. I found that the author was the famous novelist MARTHA JO WHITE. I journeyed to Washington D. C. to await the election returns which would be reported to me as soon as they came in by JOANN DYER, Editor of the NEW YORK TRIBUNE. When the election returns were all in, James and I had won by a large majority. We immediately began to select the cabinet. The ones selected were THOMAS VESTAL Secretary of State, LYNN BINGHAM, Secretary of Treasury, and JAMES HODGE, Secretary of Agriculture. 1
