' l v 1 'V L , f I W Xvx W YXYX - I Q 19 ffagfes Scottland Illlnols March 1 1952 Dear Basketball Fans Some of you have been askmg about the team thls year Here IS the dope Hugh Fulton A Semor vsho has glven the ball club a lot of spark and Im sure Hugh IS one of the best defenslve men ln the county H15 speed and aggresslveness w1ll be mlssed by all Wllham Davls A Semor who has had great p0SSlb1lltl6S but they ale Just not comlng forth He certamly f1l'llShed the season playmg great blall Probably the greatest sklll B111 wxll take w1th hlm IS h1s reboundmg a 11ty Stanley Wlmsett A Semor vsho has greatly lmproved over last year but st1ll somewhat unpredlctable He had most pomts 1291 per game agamst Rldgefarm He also w1ll be mlssed Stanton Wlmsett A Semor who has thrxlled many wlth h1s flne one handed shots A good all around ball player he w1ll certamly be mxssed next year Ronme Ulrey A Semor who certamly carrles a lot of welght wxth our boys and has certamly been a valuable man to have around Ronnle always has a smxle yet very serlous about what he does No task seems too great for hlm He always trles hls best Roger Lawson A Sophomore who has developed faster than any boy on the squad Roger has played many outstandmg games thls year scorlng well and reboundlng very well He certamly w1ll be a good boy to have around next year Ed Worthmgton A Jumor who has really come a long way thls 5 ear I feel sure before next season IS over Ed vslll have quxte a reputatlon Maurlce Ingram A Jumor who IS llttle but mlghty He has great poss1b1l1t1es and could p0SSlbly be one of the best long shots around Connle Wheeler A Freshman who was weak fundamentally the first part of the season yet has come a long way thls year Connle IS deflnltely a good prospect for next year Gordon Huffaker A Sophomore who has a good eye for the basket and w1th some experlence Gordon should be one of the top scorers the next two seasons James Mxller A Sophomore who IS a very good prospect for the comlng seasons Jlm hasnt played as much as he should th1S year be cause of sxckness and varlous other reasons He will certamly be welcomed back next year Our basketball at Scottland has come a long way thls season The teams have played some very good basketball th1s year and of course a tem bad ones whlch w1ll happen to any team If these same boys could rema1n together for one more season lt IS quite probable our opponents would all scrlnge and squxrm at the mentlon of the name Scottland Smcerely yours Coach Holloway . . 1 9 9 . . . . . .
