WE H0 OR The Class of 1953 dedicates this volume of the Scottie to Miss Oma Stoner who is retiring this year. For twenty-seven years she has taught English and Latin and fre- quently directed class plays, too. We like to remember her as she stood be- fore the class with twinkling eyes and mis- chievous smile. A joke and a hearty laugh was a good beginning for the lesson. She has enjoyed teaching. uh has beerifun,nshesays Not a period passed but we were impressed by her knowledge gained through study and reading. ln appreciation of her teaching, our class is happy to honor Miss Stoner who is so well- deseribed by a line, slightly revised, from Chaucer: 'And gladly would she learn and gladly teach.
