chnfoft .sauperinlenclenf of SCAODA .9 lar? Ou To the Clary of 1952: Deep down in every heart is the desire to be somebody, to get somewhere. So often, though, we sit waiting for the opportunity. Opportunities do not come to those who wait. They are captured by those who attack. Unless you dare you cannot win. Life should be a glorious adventure. The first principle to be understood if you would make of your life a glorious adventure is that there are four sides to every life. A body, a brain, a heart and a soul-these are our tools for living. To use these tools is not a task. It is a golden opportunity. Glor- ious living will include physical adventures, mental adventures, social adventures, and religious adven- tures. Sir Wilfred Grenfell said, Man must play, work, love and worship to get the most out of life. All four are absolutely necessary. Life cannot be complete unless all four of its sides are developed. And for a balanced life all four must be developed equally. To neglect one or to develop one side far beyond the others throws one's life out of balance and leads to a lopsided personality. So, I dare you, Class of 1952, to make of your life a glorious adventure. Idare you to think bigger, to act bigger, to be bigger. I dare you to make for yourself a completely full life, developed physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. Idare vou to fulfill the desire of your heart to -be somebody, to get somewhere. May a kind Providence sustain you always and guide your efforts toward attaining the ideal of glorious living. ' F Clinton M. Puff.
