CLASS OF 1945 e When the bell for uback to schoolv rang, one hundred-two pupils entered the rooms of Mr. Rider, Mr. Beadling, and Miss Speakman, all eighth grade teachers. Al- though considered as Junior High, these students contributed to the success of all events held by the Senior High School. The individual eighth grades had their own class officers who conducted their business meetings very efficiently. They took their many studies very seriously and prepared themeselves for the final county examination that they knew they would have to take before they could pass on to high school as freshmen. But their life was not all so serious. The eighth- graders 'had a basket-ball team that made a very fine showing in the class basketball games. At different times the classes had short programs for their own entertainment and quite a few hidden stars were found. Now that their eighth grade is completed, they are looking forward -to the day that they will become full fledged freshmen. They enjoyed this 'last year and will think of it as one well-spent. They will have many more responsibilities but they will train themselves to cope with them as., they arise. -F If 1 Y '...

The freshman home rooms had their own oficers and weekly meetings. Quite oft- en the freshman indulged in entertainment which consisted off their own classmates dis- playing their talents--good or otherwise. Their teachers, Mrs. Shank, Miss Miller, Mr. W. Baird, and Miss Jolly helped the freshman along quite a lot. In one of the freshman rooms, those who did not know the art of dancing were taught by those who did and in that way there were more freshman able to enjoy the noon time dancing, and the dances held by the various clubs. As always, the freshman were teased considerably but they took it and did not complain. But now all the teasing will be finished because when they enter school next September they will be Sophomores.

I a Z CLASS OF 1946 It's understood that the first day of school in September is one that one hundred- eight seventh graders will never forget. To them it was an experience entirely differ- ent from any they will ever have. T'he bewildered look on their faces was something to remember. . As 7A and 7B were in the same room, they had the same home room officers, while 7C had its own separately. There were weekly meetings and minutes and business of the week were discussed. For Christmas and Easter they presented a play, both of which the seventh graders wrote. Another thing that the seventh graders has boast- ed of doing was the twice weekly inspection of lockers and the daily clean-up of their own rooms. They were a responsible group and were proud to do these things. The teachers of these grades influenced the students very much and helped to give them the initiative tow do the things they did. Because of their help the students are gratefwl to teachers, Miss Hayward, Miss Johnson, and Miss Dinsmore. As the school year ends, these students are looking forward to next September when they will see new students as bewildered as they were entering Scott Township High School for the first time 'but they also look back over their memories of the year that has just passed.
