DIAMONDS and people seem to occupy a comparative tr e nd of thinking. Each have been created better than anything of its kind. Man was c reated in the image of God. The DIAMOND, according of Mohs' scale, is from ninety to one hundred times harder than corundum, the hardest known substance except the DIAMOND. Of special importance is the potential virtues of both. Nothing is more lovely thana lovely person, because his Creator is love. The DIA- MOND symbolizes re pe ntance and innocenceg both of these qualities are virtues of lovely people. The DIAMOND is highly valued as a gem. When cut into forms with many reflecting faces or facets it shows remarkable brilliance and play of color. Place it in the rough in the hands of a 10 A. B., Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, W. Va. M.
