DJ I , , . gif' ,, A EWf.f ' .u:1Le- ,V s .K ' Sift if Y BASKETBALL On Nov 1 the growlin Bulldogs opened their basketball season with Wo cottville on the home fl or The game turned out to be a good battle with vllle won by a score of 44 38 On Nov 7 the Brighton Wildcats travelled t Scott only to be defeated by a score of 39 19 Our next game we played host to the Lima Ori oles Here again the Bulldogs proved to be the Vic tors by a score of 38 20 Our next game the Bulldogs travelled to Shlnshe only to be the victims by a score of 35 T8 This was a fast, well played game with both teams show lng good basketball Walters, not being able to play that night, was missed on the rebounding power Orland journeyed to Scott on Nov 18 and were upset by the Bulldogs 41 to 37 This was an ex citing game with the Bulldogs in there fighting every minute of the game The Jefferson Tigers moved to the Scott gym and unset the Bulldogs SO 23, in a rugged game Jefferson's height and the Bulldogs not being able to hit the hoop proved the outcome of the game Our next game was with Powe Military This was a very good game for three ,uarters with Scott lead ing The big Caiets were too much for Scott in the last quarter, winning 46 34 Scott dropped their third straight game lose ing to Orland The Bulldogs just couldn't get started the first half so Orland took a big lead at the half The second half was a little different with Scott finding their range and coming within three polnts of Orland, the score being 56 35 Our next opponent was Topeka on the home floor. This was a thriller all the way with the score being close. Scott happened to be ahead at the end of the game, winning 24-22. Our next game was with the Alumni. This was a good game but the Bulldogs had a little more skill and accuracy than the graduates did.
