MR. ROBERT R. BOWMAN GUIDANCE COUNSELOR Even the high school counselor has to face reality with the glaring fact that his message to the senior class may be the first real contact he has had with them. It is difficult to admit that you haven’t been able to get in to see me, or for that matter feel a need to. So I try to say some things in a message to you as a class—a senior class--that has had many messages delivered over the past twelve years. I have only one thing to say—try to meet life in some real involved way—in which you play a meaningful part— through your concern and care about people. Let those with whom you come in contact know that you care about them as people, and that you want to be involved in life because you do care. In the three years I have known you, I have found that you are often involved deeply with people. I have watched you accept many situations and work out many problems that were not always to your liking and on many occasions make decisions that would do harm to most adults. You here at Scott have shown on several occasions that you are made of good material, being tested and testing continually your ability to live as you are made. My best wishes and genuinely good feelings go with you to school, to work, to fight--and certainly to be always challenging, and questioning as to the real meaning of being. Sincerely, Robert R.
