The Graduating Class of 1961 has reached a crossroads in the road of life. Behind us are three years of high school — the party's over for us, so to speak. In our three years at Scott we have had fun, shared laughter, a few tears, but most important of all, we have received an education that has molded our character and personality in these, the formative years of our lives. We have been guided down this sometimes bumpy always ascending road by a truly great group of teachers and administrative personnel. Before us we have our choice of many roads leading to a variety of jobs, careers, and vocations in the complex adult world. We are grateful for the training we have received in preparation for this journey. We will take one of these one-way roads but we will never be able to come back to our real starting point — Scott High School. The purpose of this yearbook is to preserve the memories of our trip through Scott High and to provide a road map for the future travelers, the underclassmen, to whom we wish all possible future happiness. It would be virtually impossible to pic-torially record all the happy moments of the past year but we have tried to capture the real spirit of enthusiasm of the Class of 1961 by careful selection of pictures and articles.
