To be beautiful, they must be properly cut and this cutting requires great skill. From this mine comes our gems. 4

(DodiaxtiovL “Only my best is good enough,” has long been the motto of both the students and faculty of our high school. The latter may also be applied to the efforts put forth by the faculty of Scott High School in helping to mold the students into respected and useful citizens of this community. It is only with supreme patience and understanding that this task may be successfully accomplished. That is why, we, the graduating class of 1955 dedicate this Highlander to our entire faculty in appreciation of a job “well done.”
