Girls' Hockey Squad W? ww AVN' wiffgtg First Row Margaret VV1re Jeanne Burdette Jean Brown Dolores Brown Secoi d Row Anna Cavalcant Marlon Jones Geraldine Bofinger Marie Antonucci 'Vlartha Donahue Janet Fields Rita Finnegan This year our hockey team which was undefeated the preuous two years was faced with the problem of securing a coach This problem howex er didn t prevent our plucky group from carrying out their plans for a third successively unblemished season In fact because we had a remarkable tuin out we were abl to have a val practiced after school with a m1n1mum of superxlsion and with a strong determlna tion to play the game Due to the curtailment of this actiwlty in many of the high schools of the district our schedule for the year was very limited Some of the schools we had played were Greencastle Penn Hall Sw atara and Lower Paxton The few opposing teams remaining w ere soon convinced by a fine display of team w ork that our figh s elexen were hard to beat Perhaps because of the number of wears of participation in this sport we had a large number of outstanding playeis both in the front line and back field The team therefore ranked with oui other leading varsity teams lv VY 5355- f Qu I l , l I 1 ' 'T Y a v ' ' ' v s I v - l v - 1 ! 7 ' .Aw 5 Uv , v . fy v.
