Athletic Council PM ff' A Martha Donahue Mr Penslnger Herman Bofinger Mr M :clay Rita Finnegan 'llr Heckler Jack Whitehead The Athletic Council is composed of two girls and two bows 11 ho are elected bw thc Senior High School student body the Athletic coaches the superusor ot the high school and a staff member appointed by the Superintendent Elections are held an The Council holds meetings at the concluslon of each sport season In these meet ings the Council has three main objectiyes The first IS to determine the number of members on the team that should be awarded the Varsity S The second 18 to form an intra mural league for the students not on the warsitv teams The third 18 to carry out the intra mural league schedule which they make up The Council selects boys and g,1rls to be Captains of the various teams and then the Captains pick their teams and name them whatever they choose It is the purpose of the Council to see that the games are play ed according, to rules and regulations and that good sportsmanship is displayed This year due to the efficient help of the Council a good intra mural league was orgamaed which provided much fun and many exciting games Sixty nine 4.
