was I fair t- ggi . I L Marion Jones P1'9Sid9Hi Martha Donahue Vice-President 8: Program Chairman Evelyn Hubley Secretary-Treasurer Mr. Oliver . Advisor The Commercial Club, which was the result of the efforts of Mr. Oliver, is the most recently established organization on our campus. It is organized under its own constitution which governs the activities sponsored at its meetings. The primary pur- pose ofthe club is to add interest to the business curriculum and develop desirable at- titudes and habits which will be conducive in meeting the challenges of the business and social world. All students who are pursuing the commercial course and who are in good scho- lastic standing are eligible for membership. The club's regular meetings are held every first and third Thursday of the month and comprise of business and social activ- ities. All business meetings are conducted according to parliamentary procedure. In order to enrich the programs, professional and business men are invited to ad- dress the club. In this way the members have received a valuable knowledge and un- derstanding of the implications of their careers. In cooperation with the War Effort, however, many of its activlties-trips, plant and office inspections, financial enterprises, etc.-had to be curtailed. The overnight hike to Stillhouse Hollow on a cold and bleak December day will not be forgotten. Sixty-one
