Billy Johnson and Steve Dean: Both boys are top mile runners. Steve ran a winning 4:52.5 mile in the conference meet. Billy placed third. Butch Edmondson and Johnny Braxton: These boys run a fast 880. Johnny now holds the school record in this event with a 2:0'7.5 timing. George Rogister and Carl Purvis: Carl went to the district and state track meets and placed well in the 480. George is one of our best high jumpers as well as being a sprinter. - 4, -Qs .
