record crowd even though Friday's performance was held Monday due to a snow storm. Well, the memories kept coming and one of the biggest was the Junior Prom, Bali Hai. The cafeteria was transformed into an island paradise and the light shining through the palm trees made it seem like a tropical night under the stars. After this wonderful night the year's end came quickly, bringing with it the long awaited award assembly. We took the senior seats and then walked out of the auditorium down the halls lined with tearful seniors, and became a bit tearful ourselves. Before the day was over, we had all been through the senior door a number of times. We had finally reached the pinnacle of Heaven as we came in the senior door that first day of school in l958. Dave Snyder, our class president, led us through the last and best year, full of fun, hard work, and all of the privileges that came with our lofty position. During our senior year the evaluating committee came and-evaluated. For three days we were really on our toes! They didn't hear a word of complaint from any of us, and really, there was nothing to complain about except short lunch periods, and early morning f'l:3Ol chorus rehearsals during our junior year. When they left, things got back to normal, and Senior Play rolled around-and a huge success it was! When the Senior Prom came we knew we were at our last dance, and we remembered all the won- derful events of our high school years-the last victorious football game, the Moonglower's theme, the Christmas Dance, term papers, college boards, parties, drivers' licenses, and CULMEN pictures. After an inspiring baccalaureate sermon, graduation day was upon us and we solemnly closed the door on an exciting and wonderful period in our lives. We left for college, business schools, iobs, and marriages, but we knew we would never forget our alma mater and all the wonderful people who made our high school years the best ones of our lives. fwiis' ' 5 N t .flies ,f KW' it .
