Our first high school days were Filled with new freshman fear. Finding the right classes was always a treat With the seniors and their directions we ' d end up on Front Street! I I We took the cake with our Freshman Float To the dismay of the upperclassmen, it was our turn to gloat. With the last silent Caf . A study, Sophomores we were crowned With a new year approaching, we were Caf. B bound. Our second year in a Brave New World We remember our 50 ' s dance where we whirled and twirled With new teachers and homework everyone soon found . if you get Mr. Russell you had better ' tone ' down! As our work load increased, we kept our heads high. Awaiting our class rank — we thought we would die We ended the year, all sophomores agloat Our traditional boat trip sure got our vote. , — -a i We frequently waited with new expectations — As the vice-pr incipal ' s office turned into Grand Central Station Yachimski and Keane were the first team we knew We now wonder at graduation who will bid us adiPii We were finally juniors in the high school files As we prepared for SAT ' s with our forced smiles After all the new trends we tried our hand From spit parties, to hackeysack, to Hey, surf s up man! nJ Months of anticipation, while scrambling for a date Almost like summer, we jus couldn ' t wait It was our junior Prom and we made it shine Thanks Chris MacNeil for a memorable Time. We finally became seniors, with nothing to fear As to our futures, our minds still aren ' t clear. With interviews and applications, we ' ve been on the run yet we ' ve still made the time for some senior fun. We ' ve been rather distressed at the increase in rules Five tardies for a suspension is not really cool. To another new principal we ' ve had to adjust So goodbye Dr. Gowen — Dr. Alson or bust! We still don ' t know when Mr. McReady ' s birds were last seen . . . Or Mr. Word ' s secret friend, the infamous Phyllis Steene? As juniors we lost the Superbowl to the senior girls. But as seniors we were titled Powderpuff Champions of the World ' So our years have ended with laughter and tears We ' ll remember you, S.H.S., in our upcoming years We ' ll Treasure the knowledge that we have been given As we each start to build our own 7 English English Peter Nord English BUI Webber English 15 The Class of 1986 Class Officers Brian D Greene Moose Life ' s battles don ' t always go to the stronger or faster man; but soon or late the man who wins is the one who thinks he can.
