and our theme proud as a peacock suited us right. For Christmas we scheduled a party for children in grades K-4. Between skits, games, Christmas songs and plays and popcorn spread all on the floor and elves tumbling down mats in the craziest ways and the children still shouting for more — it ' s a wonder that such a fun mess could turn into such a success. During this time, it ' s essential to note that the band made remarkable plans and worked diligently so as to promote contributions from all of their fans to be able to raise money to pay for a trip to Rome to play in contests and for the Pope too, and on March seventeenth, off they flew. The trip was eventful, everyone would conclude with guided tours, concerts, the wine and the food. ' 76 showed their spirit again in May as the Junior Variety Show got under way. The auditorium filled since all tickets sold and the audience watched as the Good Times rolled. The show was successful, the money was great, and so were the parties to celebrate! The Junior Prom was a special night A Time for Us was our theme Lantana ' s atmosphere made everything right and as beautiful as it could seem. Fridays we left all our studies at school and partied through weekends, obeying no rule. Before nights were over, we were destined to stop at our favorite meeting place — Maria ' s Sub Shop. Our mighty senior year was upon us at last as we each felt the need to hang on to the past. There was a strangeness of knowing that this would be the last time and before it was over, we ' d be leaving traces behind. Our feelings are mixed as graduation time comes near but our cry of 76 shall be heard loud and clear. And so as we ' re leaving, the others will hear a mighty cry of defiance and not of fear. A voice in the darkness, a knock on a door, and a memory that shall echo forevermore. © oF ice
