Graduates, As members of the Class of 1961 you will have the distinction of being among the first to be graduated from the new Scituate High School. This is a memory to cherish throughout your life. It is the wish of the faculty and students that your graduation be a signal for many other note- worthy firsts in valuable lives abundant with health and happiness. I hope that in your time at Scituate High you have learned, in addition to formal academics, fundamental unchanging truths concerning respect for others, loyalty, service, and goodness which will help you live these valuable lives in a changing and perhaps chaotic world.
