Stevens. At our first class meeting Michael Ross was elected president of the Freshman Class, with James Harper, vice president; Jon Gunn, secretary; and John Mc- Namara, treasurer. We also elected as class advisers. Miss Kennedy and Mr. Soccorso; and as Student Coun- cil representatives, John Kane and John Mullen. Natalie Bullock, Catherine Ladd, Joan Holleman, and Maryann Russell represented us on the Chimes staff; and Florence Mehegan and Joan Holleman, on the Scituation. To the band we gave Marsha Haartz, Sally Fryling, Suzanne Lepine, Joy Hollis, Donald LeClair, and Randall Johnson. Other freshmen participated in chorus and Library Club. GRADE EIGHT Although we are still the youngest classatS.H.S., we haven ' t let that stop us from multiplying from 147 members to 169, or from getting on the honor roll and into extra-curricular activities. For the first term, Sandra Holland attained High Honors, and many others of the class were on the honor roll or received honorable mention. Jean Emslie, William Coelho, and Sandra Holland participated in the orchestra. Pam Baker, Martha Blanchard, Jean Emslie, Janet Finnie, Beverly Fowler, Sandra Holland, and Deborah Hall sang in the Girls ' Glee Club. Those participating in the band were Peter Blankenship, Peter Gardner, Sally Jarvis, Donald Johnson, and Robert Yeates. Several members of Grade Eight worked on the Chimes and Scituation staffs. It has been fun being here the past two years, and we are looking forward to joining the Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores as next year ' s freshman class at S.H.S. FIRST ROW: B. Chase, C.
