SENIOR YEAR ' Twas in the year of ' 58 That we set out, to create A bright and exciting new world among The stars and planets, far-flung. Now we ' d like to reminisce Of youthful days that we shall miss; And speaking of youth brings to mind The teachers and classmates we leave behind. Paul, Jessie, George, and Ronnie Were perfectly suited, we all agree To lead and direct the senior class Until graduation came to pass. A versatile band we had this year That marched and danced in its career. Ann, Marcia, Linda, and Peggy, too, Kept the rhythm by a tap of the shoe. Our football heroes. Monk, Paul, and Jim, Led on by the girls with vigor and vim. Made many a goal that helped them to win The attention of the feminine. And our hockey girls this fall Proved they were really on the ball. Jessie, Jean, Pat, Marcia, and Ann, Spurred by hopes of victory, ran. Glen, Skip, Paul, and others too Led our new team, a ready crew. To victory on the artificial ice. They surely deserve everything nice. Paul, Phil, and Dick, the short and the tall. Ably assisted, played basketball. And Judy, Rosemary, Marcia, and Bonnie To our victories were the key. Ralph and Wendell, though minus Jed, On the track team served in good stead. And our Rocky could fling to the mat All challengers whether thin or fat. To Dick the Bausch-Lomb Award was given. And Debby was chosen as the Good Citizen. National Honor was new this fall; Fourteen were chosen as the best of all. Our clubs were many and varied too,- Future Teachers, Nurses, so much to do! To those teachers who gave us their time, Sincere and grateful thanks we chime. Our advisers since ' 54 have been with us, Patient and willing our plans to discuss. So for them we give three cheers Along with our thanks for those wonderful years. To S.H.S. we now say adieu As we set out on pathways new; But we ' ll forever and always remember The work and fun brought by each September. 17
