We were honored to have Linda Stewart on the girls ' varsity basketball team, and Jack Payntar on the football team. In the Junior High intramural gomes, 8A girls and 8C boys were the champions in volleyball and basketball. Jean Gunn, Geri Donoghue, Judy Jarvis, Sandra Bongorzone, David Atchason, and Jack Payntar rep- resented the eighth grade in the band and orchestra. A new Junior High newspaper, The Mariner, was started this year. Its first printed copy with pictures was published in February. GRADE SEVEN This year the seventh grade Student Council rep- resentative was Kathleen Walsh. Many seventh graders participated in intramural sports during activity period. Our class contributed six members to the bond and one to the orchestra. Suzanne Murphy, Richard Burt, Carol Claybourne, Gerald Stone, Robert Calderwood, and William Stone were in the band, and William was also in the orchestra. In the magazine contest this year, the leading room was a seventh grade room, 206, and the lead- er in sales was Janice Savage. We are also doing well in our school work. Hen- rietta Horne, John Ewing, Susan Kenney, Susan Lis- combe, Dorothy Marsh, Suzanne Murphy, and Kath- leen Walsh received high honors during the first two marking periods.
