THE SCIEYCE CLUB T The officers of the Science Club are: H111 Reese --------------------- President Dick Hinton- -------------- Vice President Martha Reed--------Secretary k Treasurer Dorothy Reed M Irene Darst-News Reporter we have 57 members in our club. Miss Mowery, our advisor, has' taught us several things about plants, animals, and insects that we can use after we get out of school. We, the members of this club have had a nice time and say that we think that it has been a very successful year. KITCHEN NEWS Our school cafeteria for the past two years has operated under the Federal Foods plan. This is a plan organized by the Federal Foods plan. we keep our daily records then once a month we send in a monthly report to the branch office in Colum- bus. ' Two ladies, Mrs. Hazel West and Mrs. Eva Keller prepare the meals, then the high school girls help one period and during noon hour. Thqywork one period for their lunch and get paid for the other period. The lunches are plate lunches, for example: Wed. April 26, 1945 Creamed dried beef on mashed potatoes Bread and Butter Sandwiches Cookie-Carrot,strip 'Q pt. Choc. milk ' Price 1551 or strip 'of lO tickets for 351.00

Rein .At our first meeting in September we had seven- teen members in our club. They were: Ruth Kennard, Lillian Coey, Pauline Hill! Mildred Fullen, Helen - Coey, Helen Gcchenour, Barbara Prindle, Emma Jean Sprouse, Mary Alice Burgett, Phyliss Prushing, Ruby Castle, Bob Reynolds, Junior Matter, Gene Prushing, Carroll Sines, Paul Burgett Betty Murphy, Elmer and Ella Mae Cowan and Betty Williams. we elected our officers at the first meeting. They are as follows: President ----------------- Mary Alice Burgett Vice President ------------------- Ruby Castle Secretary---- ---e----------- ------ Helen Coey Treasurer ---------------------- 31-Lillan Gcpy News Reporter --------------- Phyllis Prushing At our meetings we decided to have discussions on humor, dancing, and the lives of famous men. We enjoy the work in our club very much this year. Phyllis Prushing MAJORETTES The magorettes uniforms are made of twill The tunics are made of red twill trimmed with black The skirts are made of white twill The hats are red trimmed with black and are made like overseas hats Due to the war, we have not been able to obtain the regular maJorette boots Instead we all wear plain vhite shoes Phyllis Prushing and June Osborne are taking batoon lessons in Columbus We have had some time here at s nool to practice in unison The first public preformance was at the P T A meeting April 12 June A Osborne SAFETY CLUB The members of the safety club have talked about the prevention of colds we have made posters for the safety of the school Two members of the club gave speeches at the P T A meeting for the prevention of safety about the school The members were Byron Haughn and Emery Fannin Our advisor is .
