There were 26 boys and girls in our class that year. For our grade school teachers we had Miss Archer, Irs. Kerr, Miss Butler, Miss Luckens, and Mr. Porter to help us on the great way of learning. When we finally reached the seventh grade we felt very grown up for we were now able to go to and from our classes when the bell rang just like the high school. As freshmen, we felt very let down after our initiation, but we soon recovered and started our high school career with 45 in our class and with 7 boys taking part in sports. Our Sophomore and Junior years were spent in making money for our Junior-Senior prom. We held an all-night Lrom, the first of its kind in this school. Now as Seniors we will soon be viewing Scio High School as our Alma later and we will be going on to further our education end to put to work our Knowledge, 29 'ff,1,., 5 A W- M, M., 2 e! isa Hia E v , 1 Q X, , xx W' X, k' ' AX . Our class play, nSpr1nq Fever,W was a great success. Our principal way of raising money was by selling refreshments at the football and basketball games and during the noon hour. The annual Junior-Senior Prof was held May 12, with the theme being candle- light and the auditorium was decorated like axnerry-go-round. Mr. 5imPS0U '95 the chief speaker and our class presented a very interesting program with Jerry Thompson and Shirley Saber reigning as King and Queen. The class of 1951 has truly had a successful year under the capable leadership of Mr. John H. Rains. 49 , L 1 5 .5 'X 5 o',, ,5 V1 .Sf :1 ik . A high degree of participaticn in school affairs has been shown by the majority of the class members. Four boys were out for football and five were out for basketball. A similiar number is expected for baseball. There are ten girls out for band and several are active in the various activities of Home Lconomics, Grange, Student Council, and other orbanizations. 54 f H is 'A N, 5- F--' 35 'N R, :v,gj,,M V rugs' E' V ga pan 1-:main -ars- B . 4 'Hin ' 1 'r -VX ,z ,W s, i.. Our library is organized in such a manner that the best given with the least amount of time devoted to it. We realize that this is or part time or organization of service is not the ideal situation, but it will have to suffice until a full librarian superviser is hired. In the mean time, let us be more tolerant of the situation and cooperate to the best of our ability to see that it functions as well as possible. Give the librarians their just dues. They are doing a good job. An organization functions only as well as the people concerned with it want it to function. fy Iifg,-rl , ap :lm J.
