Class Prophecy As a much needed vacatlon we decided to take a trzp around the world Upon our arrival m New York we took a taxl to our hotel The tax1 was owned by the drwer Norman Hzbmger We each needed a new hau' do so we went to the hotel beauty salon where Betty Whzteman was head beautmczan In the even mg, we went to see the hlp play, Needle m a Haystack , starrmg V1rg1n1a Pfouts Between acts we dzscovered Joan McK1ss1ck news columnist, talkmg to Duard Chrzstlan, the natzon s leadmg landscape art1st Upon our arrwal m London we went to a fashzonable restaurant for dmner Ruth Allensworth, our waztress mformed us that B111 Onslow the mous surgeon, was eatmg at a nearby table Betty Senft was the stewardess on the London to Paris flight She ar ranged for us to meet the pzlot, W11bur Hxlbert In Pans we went to an exc1us1ve shop to buy a real Parls dress Dorothy Hutton and Jean H111 were co owners of the shop but we dxdn t get to see Jean ag It was only 10 O0 a m , much too early for her to be up Our next stop was Bombay lndxa, where we saw the 011 well m1111ona1re In Japan we saw one of the Tokyo Flashes baseball games Tom McG1.nn1s was the star pztcher As lt was a Saturday game, Marxlyn Crownoble, home econorrncs teacher and Sara Dodson fourth grade teacher were there We also saw Mr and Mrs Robert Eashck she s the former Mary Lou Schaffer, at the game On our stop m Austraha we saw Jim Albaugh who dxscovered some new plant and became very famous and h1s pnvate secretary Francis Gotschall Wh11e Nancy Albaugh was glvmg vocal lessons on beautxful Wakxkx Beach m Hawau, we talked to B111 Spzker retxred banker That evenmg we all went out together to talk over old tlmes and to see Robert Van G11der, the tuba kmg of Hawa11 In Cal1forn1a we saw Raymond Dunfee playmg football wxth the Marvelous Mmdgets agamst the Battlmg Brutes m the Pasadena Rose Bowl Maryloulse Brown was at the game She xs campalgnmg for re electxon to the House of Representatxves from Texas We stopped off to see the Mldget Auto Races at Indlanapolxs Indzana The wmner Jerry Thompson, set a new speed record And now home agam As we are remunscmg about the classmates w saw on our trzp the thought occurs to us that by, for the most part 1961 the members of the Class of 1951 have been successful Shxrley Saber Harms Alxce Thomas QH1dey1 21 . 0 . , . . , fa- Bill Hamilton, and Jim Prather, a Navy man in town on a week-end pass.
