WHOtS OtMALLEY? Yehudi? Oh, no. Havenlt you heard? Yehudi has been discovered. As the sun came sneaking over the end of their beds one dull morning, forty million people started a search, a modern crusade with a worthy cause. They made a discovery, which has astonished the most brilliant scientists, sociolo- gists, or what have you, after a pilgrimage which was very expensive and with great effort. And what did these ambitious people find? They made the encredible discovery that Yehudi is the little man who turns out the light in the refrigerator when you close the door. But, please dOIft mistake OlMalley for Yehudi. Many people have already made this cruel, unjust mistake. It is fitting, therefore. that I pass on some information about this truly singular character. Perhaps singularll is not quite adjective, for OlMalley has been present at every band practice, every assembly, and every class room. A singular person doesn,t generally manage a thing of that sort with any degree of success. However, OlMalley did it! Oh, yes, OlMalley did it. Who of the senior class has not heard those immortal words? What did Glen Baun, the fellow who patronizes the deten- tion room most frequently, say following a loud rumbling noise which came from his place in the study hall as the teacher confronted him with fifty minutes? Why liOlMalley did itfi of course. And what did Helen Hall say after eating eight meat balls at the spaghetti supper? OlMalley did it at it again, and in the same evening, who poured java on the front table very unnoticed? It must have been OlMalley because G.A.A. members dont do that sort of thing. Some doubt was also cast upon the little episode due to the fact that a certain girl by the name of Minerva Chazanov was seen to. emerge from beneath another table at a slightly later time. At any rate, these stories should present you with an idea of OlMalleyls work ; always on hand in a tight spot, hels fast becoming the friend of all of us. There is a story around the school that our school rented a horse, to help the football boys in their practice. A number of fairly reliable sources of information insist that there was such a horse and that it was kept in Mr, Riehey's office. To substantiate this, there is Miss Porterls complaint that four bales of hay disappeared one dark night. Also it was, we believe, a horseshoe nail that somehow shorted out all the lights a few weeks ago, but that may be wrong. tContinued on page 4m Eighteen
