THE CAVALIER 7 Farewell to Thee 1 Our school life will soon be but a dream and we will be living in a garden of memories. But of this we are certain, our Alma Ivlater will be one of our most pleasant recollections. May we give a toast to our school, the one of which we are an inseparable part! May it have the pleasure of graduating many more fine classes! To the school board and Dr. Richeson, we express our most sincere appreciation for the privilege of receiving our education and we shall endeavor to make the best possible use of it. And here's to the faculty! Dear friends, we cannot leave you without thanking you for the inspiration which you have given us, We know that you represent the noble side of life and may you always go onward and upward. Much success to you! To the Alumni, we ask that we may be welcomed into their organization and may our class add distinction to it. Juniors, permit us to warn you of the place which you will hold next year. Fill it with dignity and when you reach the end of your journey, may you receive much esteem. To the rest of the school, we extend our best wishes for suc- cess. We are certain that you will enjoy the remainder of your high school course if you make your aim high and then hold to your aim. Classmates, we are about to sever from each other but may we all hold in esteem the friendships that we have made. And may we be: As those who are standing on a mountain height, Look backward o'er the path so lately trod, Think only of the joys that would not last, But vanished like the waves upon the shores, Forgotten in each irksome task and rule, And pleasant memories linger round our school.
