28 THE CAVALIER Basketball Report Our basketball team has just completed a very successful sea- son. Although the schedule included some tough games, the boys lost but three games from thirteen played, during the season. We also made a very good showing at the N. E. Tournament. We won our first two games with Geneva and the undefeated Newton Falls team. We were eliminated by Canfield in our third game after having beaten them twice during the season. We placed two men on the all-tournament team--Joe Arnaut, our flashy captain on the first team, and Steve Lubonivic, guard, on the second team. We shall feel the loss of Thomas, center and Noble, forward, whom we lose by graduation. However, with Arnaut, Lubonivic, Vetacula, Warne, Bartram and several other experienced players back, Coach Boyd will have plenty of promising material from which to choose a quintette. Since the close of basketball season, a number of the boys have been out for practice each evening. William Noble, a member of our class, throws the discus. Our schedule for this season includes several triangular meets. On April 26th we shall compete with Leavittsburg and Braceville at Leavittsburg. The next week we shall redeem past athletic de- feats in 'a meet with Canfield and Hubbard at Canfield. May ll we go to Hubbard to meet Hubbard and Brookfield.
