A Spirited Topper Is ... A Spirited Topper is lively, vivacious, spunky, and nervy. They all enjoy activi- ties involving each other. They play, learn, and work together. This undying enthusiasm showed up all around the school all year. It was mostly evident at the numerous pep rallies and football games during the year. During the football season, every other Friday there was a pep rally during 6th period. The gym was the place to be. It was a place to yell, scream, or do whatever to show Topper support and spirit. It also showed up in the many crazy dress-up days. Whether you happened to be a hill- billy, a punk rocker, or simply draped yourself in the school colors, the Topper spirit showed through. Toppers show their pride. 4 Opening

An Active Topper Is ... An active Topper was always running, vibrant, vigorous, aggressive and always on the go. Their daily routine involved sprinting to the shower twenty minutes late, piling into the car and rushing off to school, socializing with friends on the way to class, and then the dreaded minute bell sprint. The lunch bell sounded and a mad dash was made to the lunchroom only to cram down food. The bell rang and off we went again, the halls jammed with Toppers from wall to wall. Working through the week, with the weekend on their mind, Toppers buzzed through the hall. Hilltoppers expended huge amounts of physical energy in get- ting an education. Toppers were active in anything they did, whether it was an on or off the campus activity. Topper football players get fired up before the big game. Toppers take an active part at pep rallies.
