Lunchtime ... What is the most awaited part of any school day Lunch—of course. One may choose to eat in the cafeteria, or if one is willing to risk being caught by Mr. Brewer, you can go to McDonalds or Wendy's. At the beginning of school year, the School Board decided to remove the coke machines and the snack bar, which sold cookies and cakes. Almost immediately the lunch lines became crowded. Students were forced to drink tea, fruit drinks and Kool-aide. In reaction to the changes there was an increase of going out to lunch . Lunch gives one a chance to catch up on all the gossip, exchange ideas with friends, think about the events of the day and even cram in some extra studying before a big test. Others enjoy lunchtime because it pro- vides a chance for character study. When one is not watching, it is fun to try to deter- mine personalities by watching someone eat. The fast eaters, the slow chewers, or the picky eaters all reflect a phase of their personality. Lunchtime is an interesting part of the day that most students look forward to. Not even the munches, relieves Denise Anderson's distress. Other distractions can not keep Dana Ford from her food. A lunch from home is |eff Gee's answer to the cafe- terias food. 22
