DAVID FRANKLIN BAIR Being a friendly person with an easy grin and an offhand O.K.. David dislikes stuck-up people. Although David has taken the commercial course, he intends to join the Marines after gradu- ation. David enjovs playing miniature golf and selling soft pretzels. David has successfully managed both the ,l.V. basketball team in ninth grade and the Varsity team in tenth grade. He has been a member of Varsity Club in ninth and tenth grades. Press Club in eleventh and twelfth grades. Stage Crew in twelfth grade. and was in the Junior Class play. CAROL ANN ALTHOUSE This short girl with naturally wavy hair has taken the commercial course in hopes of becoming a stenographer. Her chief interest and favorite subject is typing. Away from school. in her spare time. Carol can usually be found sewing or reading. Carol has been a member of Chorus in ninth grade, Y-Teens in tenth and eleventh grades, Press Club in eleventh and twelfth grades. and Music Ap- preciation in twelfth grade.

CHRISTA HILDEGARD AHNERT Christais choice of study is the commercial course with the ambition of secretarial work and later that of becoming a housewife. In her commercial classes she is a whiz at her typewriter. She is one of the few members of our class that has come from a foreign countryg namely, East Germany. Christais favorite expression is t'Oh, nuts, and her favorite pastime is reading. Being an energetic person, she finds much en- joyment in vigorous sports such as swimming and ice skating. Her activities include: F.H.A. in ninth and tenth grades. Travel Club in twelfth grade. and Vallette staff in twelfth grade. RUTH ALICE ADAMS Ruth comes from a family of six Ris of which she is the third. Although her future is undecided, she has chosen the commercial course in high school. Her size is diminutive. She not only is concise but also is very modest, leaving you with the im- pression that she can neither be found nor heard. Driving her parent's car in the country is her favorite pastime. Since Ruth lives on a farm, she naturally has developed the humane outlook toward animals. Ruth has been an active member of the Press Club in the eleventh and twelfth grades. She also was on the program committee for the Junior Class play.

Her major peeve is German class l .loan is working part time as a,salesgirl.
