R. HARRY HUMMEL, B.S, CATHERINE E. REED, B.S. Iuniata College West Chester State Teachers College Arithmetic English DOROTHY LESSIG West Chester State Teachers College History Appreciation to Our Teachers We are the third class to graduate amid the turmoil of war. It is through the unceasing ef- forts of our teachers that our high school car- eer can be a success. Through their untiring efforts, their helpfulness, their cooperation, and their endeavors, our future will be more suc- cessful not only in the armed forces but also in civilian life. Many accelerated courses have also been offered which afforded instruction and training for various branches of the service. More education and its importance is stress- ed in order that we can play a bigger and better part in the drama of life. In view of these facts. we, the class of 1944, salute the teachers who have done their utmost for us. Having been called into the service has caused several changes in the faculty of our school. Miss Helen Brown, girls' physical edu- cation teacher, is serving in the WACS: Mr. Aaron Young, commercial instructor, is now in the Marines: and Mr. Ivan Fisher, industrial arts instructor, is in the Seabees. . .
