Today more than ever these principles must be emphasized, so that America may always be known as The Keeper of the Flame, truth. During this period of hatred and strife, it is sometimes hard to continue unfalteringly on the pathway of democracy. Yours has been this great task, which has been met on all occasions unflinchingly. You have always tried to hold the true democratic spirit before us. You have left many thoughts, which should linger forever, in the minds of every member of this class.
