Cllcuss History On September 1 1937 95 pupxls assembled m the three Senror homerooms under the gurdance of M1ss Bausum Mr Brown and Mr Shank Our first event of mterest was our class Hallowe en party held rn the gym on October 28 Many attended and had a gay t1me rompmg around 1n thelr costumes and dancrng Football held the spotllght durmg the early fall term Our class was well represented and those out for the team were Byerly lCapta1nJ Bubeck T Bolton S Reed Wm Reed Z1egler Haas Barnum Meyers Brlggman Tem plm phlll1pS and Mengle All of these fellows led us 1n a most eventful foot ball season The long awalted Senlor Play finally made 1ts appearance Many trled out for parts rn Campus Quarantme but only a few were chosen lt was pre sented on November 23 and 24 and the net proceeds were over S300 whxch we consxdered very good lt was acclarmed by everyone as qulte a success Not long after our play came the dxsasterous flre whlch rumed the ent1re thxrd floor As a result me were doomed to mlss many of the fr1vol1t1es and act1v1t1es whlch other classes had enjoyed lt was most unfortunate but we made the best of It By th1s trme the senxor photographs appeared on the scene and many ges tures were made beh1nd teachers backs but all ln fun to see who would ex change plctures w1th whom Many groans and ahs were heard m com ment of them The varslty basketball team although not w1nn1ng so many games showed hne Splflt throughout the season Those who helped pep up the team were Byerly Reed and Ruff The g1rls proved themselves to be capable players by w1nn1ng the captam ball champronshlp They vxon every game that they played Apr1l 27 28 29 and 30 were rmportant dates to a great number of Senlors for those were the new er to be forgotten days spent ln Washlngton It was a long looked form ard to event and much exc1tement and fun were crowded mto those four short days as well as the novelty of seemg some of the famous blllldlflgg of our capltal The class only regretted that they could not stay forty four days lnstead of only four Our last tlmes together were Class Nxght on une IO Baccalaureate on une 12 and Graduatxon vxhlch took place on une 14 In partlng w reallze that vte have flnxshed our last year scorched though lt may have been and me are smcerely sorry to leave We novu say Au revolr auf Wxedershen Ad1os and all other 1d1osyncras1es of llnguxstxc farewells IEAN A REBER Blue and Gold 23 VA Vx 0 1 1 . . . . . 1 . r 1 1 1 1 - 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 ' 1 1 f ' .
