How proud they must be of their success, we thought, and how lucky they are to be so close to graduation. The Seniors were assembling for their last gathering and we wondered at their sad countenance. They received their diplomas, the reward for their labor. Each school year we witnessed the same sight with a colorful pageant and various ceremonial procedures, and strangely enough. we no longer envied the graduates. We pitied them, for each year had taught us to love our High School more and more. Now, we are Seniors! We are about to receive that precious document which, for a long time has been the object of our labors. We should be proud and glad, and in a measure, we are, but our joy is overclouded by the thought that we are leaving our Alma Mater forever. We are abandoning the scene of many happy years of oui lives, to embark upon our respective careers. What fields we shall choose, what the future holds for us we do not know, but of this we are sure: the years we spent at Schuylkill Haven High School will never be forgotten. ln the past. the success of our school has been our success, in the future, its honor and glory shall be our pride and delight. We leave behind us our best wishes. May the good name of our High School never fade from the annals of our Liberal Education in such a democracy which you so happily foster and we have learned to enjoy.
