Our Treasury began to fill with the proceeds made from our success- ful Booth at the Fair, as well as finding some returns from the stand at a few of our football games during the season. Next came a Hallowefen Party which was held at Mellon's Skating Rink. Skating, cards and dancing were enjoyed by all Seniors present. This party was also a financial success and our Treasury kept on filling! The greatest success of our Senior journey was realized when we produced our Senior Play, Here Comes Patricia. It was a great success, and we were at last finding a financial status for our remaining months as Seniors. A series of candy and bake sales were held on five consecutive Wednesdays starting on March 2. These sales, it seems, were as success- ful as all our other ventures. We Wish to congratulate the Juniors on their play, The Rose Climbers. .We, as Seniors, were their guests and enjoyed the production immensely. , On April fourth, eighty-seven dignified f?'???J Seniors left for Wash- ington, D. C. With Miss Bausum, Mrs. Butz and Mr. Snavely as our chaperons we had a most enjoyable trip. We, as a class, will never forget the value of this trip both educationally and historically nor will we forget the unlimited pleasures we had when we were all together-friends and classmates ! ! i A farewell banquet given for us by the Juniors was a joyous affair, although sad, as it was a reminder We were to leave our dear Alma Mater very soon. Then came the final survey of our four flights, each greater than the one before. This was made in the publication of our Class Book. Mem- ories brought back, and important events in our Alma Mater, our Annual, Class of thirty-two's Blue and Gold. Then came the last social event in which We Would be together as a Class--Class Night. Following this came Commencement, the night everyone was given praise and honor for their loyalty to their Alma Mater. We had reached our goal-graduation! With Mrs. Lechner, Mr. Snider and Mr. Mclnroy as our able guides we became accustomed to our new environment. We were timid in making this first flight, but with James Schwenk, President, Doris Berger, Sec- retary, and Sylvia Becker, Treasurer, to steady us we were able to bravely face what the Future had in store. A Hallowe'en Party was held at Lee's Farm, Orwigsburg, which was enjoyed by everyone. 4 As Sophomores we were better acquainted with our new surroundings, and began our second flight with Miss Fetherolf, Miss Bill and Mr. Snavely to guide us. Charles Croneberger, Presidentg Isabel Huling, Secretary, and Francis Riegel, Treasurer, did much to help us on our journey. Both our spirit and ability in sports was displayed when we defeated our upper classmen-and became basketball champions! Suddenly we found ourselves to be Juniors! Jolly Juniors indeed!! This year Francis Riegel, Presidentg Kathryn Bessa, Secretary, and Jose- phine Aulenbach, Treasurer, guided us safely through the hardships of this great flight. Then came the Junior Play, a three act comedy, The Hidden Guest. By the untiring efforts of Miss Bausum and Mr. Snavely, the play was a great success both in production and-financially! A farewell banquet was given for the Seniors in the First Reformed Church. Teachers representing each Ward, also a representative from Junior and Senior High School gave short talks. The Junior Class Presi- dent, Francis Riegel, welcomed the Seniors, and'Charles Moyer, President of the Senior Class, responded. An enjoyable time was had by everyone. Seniors!! We finally began that long anticipated fourth iiight, when we Would become full fledged eagles! For this last iiight We elected: James Schwenk, President, Margaret Filbert, Secretary, and Josephine Aulenbach, Treasurer, to lead us toward our goal. With Miss Bausum, Miss Michel and Mr. Snavely to help us We were sure to have a success- ful journey.
