C7716 Blue cmd Gold smut Qllass Htstm U ENIIORS' Ah how proud we feel to be classlfled IS SQHIOIS We haxe been look1ng fo1w ard to thls tlme BY er s1nce we ente1 ed H1gh School and now that It has come we are thrllled and D1 oud We haxe become Senlors and xt began thus In 1921 elghty five eager Freshles lose to Hlgh School to spend four long yet short years of work and happlness Durlng ou1 first year we en1o1 ed manv happy tlmes together especlallx the Halloween partv We had a great deal of pep durlng our Freshman year and were represented IH Basketball and Baseball We passed 1nto ou1 Sophomore year wlth about slxty five feellng very sorry that we could not keep all the members of the class together for the one b1g event Commencement As Sophomores we real17ed that we were expected to know what to do so we began to studv 1n earnest for awhile to get rld of those dreadful red 1nk marks whlch we had experlenced ln ou1 Freshman year I November of thls year we selected our class rlng a neat deslgn whlch was very popular wlth all of our class and wlth members of other classes Durlnvf th1s year our soclal events conslsted of a Hallowe en party and a slewhlng party whlch were engoy ed by all We pass on Wlth slxty mem bers 1nto the Junlor Class' We feel blg for we are more than half wax now We again had a Hallowe en party and as befole It was a success The m1d feehng a Ilttle easler We gave a Senlor Farewell party and lf the Senlors enjoyed 1t as much as we d1d there IS no questlon about the good t1me Followlng the precedent estabhshed by the precedmg Junlor Class we held Junlor Nlght as a means of ra1s1ng money to start ou1 Senlor veax It was voted a success by all who attended Ah' At last' We ale Senlors But we fmd we cannot get along yust because we are Senlors It means work and so we knuckle down As usual some new teachers greeted us th1s wear three Mlss Sltler MISS Otto and Mrs Behle We were an unfortunate class as far as teachers were concerned every year we had to become accustomed to the ways and hablts of at least three new teachers We were st1ll more unfortunate th1s year as Mlss Sltler tendered her resxgnatlon February 1 Whlle It IS dlf ficult to become accustomed to new teachers each term lt IS stlll more dlfflcult to change teachers durlng the school term Mr Fessler of Cres sona was elected to fill the vacancy caused by the reslgnatlon of Mlss Sltler Beslde the change ln the staff of teachers our extra currlcular 3Ct1V 1t1es a perlod lnstltuted durlng our Junlor sear were changed A Sew mg Club and Art Club were organlzed besides the H1 Y Sclentlfic Soclety Glee Club and Orchestra of preuous wears Anyone not occupled ln an1 of these act1v1t1es reports to Study Hall Here IS whele the ambltlous Page Seventeen . . fi 0 '1 Q 9 1 .
